ABOUT

Hello! My name is Febronia Mansour. I am a senior at Guilderland High School and a  student in our school's independent research program, Exploring with Mindful Creativity and Curiosity - E=MC2. As someone who has been a participant of this program since its inception, three years ago, I've watched this class, and the community of thinkers it brings together each year, make leaps and bounds like nothing else I've ever experienced or been a part of. It seems there is something special about a space where students can learn about anything they choose. I've always taken a particular liking to biology and this class offered me that space to explore wonders of the human body which I never imagined being able to understand.

This year, I will be continuing my study of the brain. In exploring the rest of my site however, I strongly recommend that you take some time and view the work I've done in the past which is all chronicled here. Reading some of the assignments and journals I've already completed may be helpful in understanding how I've come to think the way I do.

During the summer, I have received the opportunity to be an intern in a research lab at our local hospital, Albany Medical Center. Using information and data that I am able to collect, I hope to write a thesis paper about a specific process in the brain throughout the coming school year. I will be guided through this process by a team of administrators, teachers, and my research coordinators who will constitute a review board for my final paper.
